Cheryl's 20 years of experience includes an extensive background in the extended or contingent workforce space. Before consulting Cheryl's full-time industry, experience has ranged from supporting technical recruitment for staff augmentation roles to creating the strategy, architecture, and execution of a contingent workforce program that helped all non-employee labor. . Her experience encompasses outsourced Managed Service Providers (MSP), with the management of Professional Services organizations (SOW), Independent worker classification, payroll, and recruiting through staffing partners. Proficient in supporting contingent workforce technology, Vendor Management Systems (VMS), and Freelance Management Systems (FMS).
Cheryl has had the pleasure and opportunity to support, re-engineer, and operationalize more than 70 companies by understanding how they acquire, engage, develop, build their external workforce and align their internal resources for a total talent management view.
Cheryl's professional experience has provided her with an innovative and diverse perspective. This has benefited consulting clients through her ability to develop effective and exceptional strategies and wide-ranging partnerships to resolve challenges and achieve cost-saving goals, as well as growth and maturation in their total talent management and talent acquisition needs.
Cheryl started her career as a photographer, which has continued to assist her in her career path. When engaged by multiple organizations simultaneously and balancing business with business and business with consumer relationships, this creative vision and background sparked her interest in recruiting and worker classification.
Cheryl holds the only two professional certifications for the contingent workforce: Certified Contingent Workforce Professional (CCWP) and Certified Contingent Workforce Professional Statement of Work Expert (CCWP SOW expert). These certifications are issued by Staffing Industry Analyst and are based on a six-sigma approach to contingent workforce management. Accessing models, partners, and launching programs to access programs versus a maturity model and examining trends and macro trends that influence an organization's ability to attract and retain various contingent labor types and build a total talent management strategy.
